CDM means Cubic Decimeter(Presently for A.P 2CDM = 1Kg.). Articles,
which are light in weight and occupy more space, are charged on CDM
basis. Multiplication of Length, Width and Height (LxWxH of a
consignment) and division by 2 gives a consignment's weight. For
Tamilnadu, Karnataka and Pondicherry the CDM should be divided by 2.5 to
get the weight in Kgs.

It all depends on the destination point's distance.

For any complaint/clarification, communication can be sent to either
Head Office at Vijayawada or any nearest Regional office/Controlling
point(s).
In case the original consignee copy is lost, what is the procedure to be followed?
On executing an indemnity bond (on Rs.10/- non-judicial stamp paper)
delivery can be taken by the consignee. In case of self-booked
consignment, consignor has to execute such bond and obtain due
certification from the booking branch.

Yes. There is such provision/facility provided, delivery of the load is at a single point.
What is the free storage period or what is the grace period allowed for clearing the consignment without demurrage charges?
"15 days" is the free storage period from the date, the consignment reaches the destination.
What is the prime document to be presented for taking delivery of one's consignment?
Original consignee copy is the prime document. If it is lost, the procedure referred under item 3 needs to be followed.
What is the procedure to be followed at the time of taking delivery of a consignment?
Duly discharged original consignee copy (i.e., signed by affixing firm's stamp) needs to be presented.
What is With-pass system?
This is a special facility provided for speedy delivery, whereby the
consignee copy is sent along with the consignment and on reaching
destination, the consignee will be informed about the arrival of the
consignment. (This facility is provided to avoid courier/postal delay).
